Expanding the Scope of Spiritual Care Research in South African Healthcare

This conference is presented by HospiVision in collaboration with the Department of Practical Theology, University of Pretoria and is made possible through the support of Grant 63219 from the John Templeton Foundation.

Registration Fees

Join us for the Religion and Spirituality in Healthcare Conference from 14–17 October 2025. We’ve created a flexible registration structure so that you can attend the parts of the event that best suit your interests and availability.

You may choose to:

  • Attend one day of the conference (15 or 16 October),
  • Attend the 2-day conference package (15–16 October),
  • Join us only for the Research Workshop (14 October),
  • Attend the Cocktail Dinner & Networking session (16 October),
  • Participate in the Post-Conference Workshop (17 October).

We highly recommend attending the full 2-day conference, as well as the Research Workshop and Cocktail Dinner, to gain the most value from the sessions and community engagement. We also strongly encourage participation in the Post-Conference Workshop, where your voice and input will help shape the ongoing conversation about spirituality in healthcare in South Africa.

Registration Process

To register for the conference, please follow these steps:

1. Download and complete the registration form. You can either download and print the form, then fill it out by hand, or- complete the form online by filling out the fillable PDF.

2. Email your completed form to conference@hospivision.org.za. If you are applying for a scholarship, please include your scholarship application form along with the registration form.

3. Once your registration has been reviewed and approved, an invoice will be sent to the email address you provided. (Make payment using the invoice number as reference. This helps ensure your registration is processed smoothly. You can also send proof of payment to finance@hospivision.org.za if you wish.)

4. After payment is confirmed, all further communication will be sent to the same email address.

Scholarship Application Process

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to be part of this important dialogue. A limited number of scholarships are available, so please make sure to apply early. Scholarships cover the Research Workshop, 2-Day Conference, One Day Conference, and Post-Conference Workshop.

If you are applying for a scholarship, please follow these steps:

1. Download and complete both the conference registration from and scholarship application form.

2. Email both completed forms to conference@hospivision.org.za. Make sure both the registration form and the scholarship application form are attached.

3. Once your application has been reviewed and approved, an invoice for the registration fees will be sent to the email address you provided. This invoice will reflect any applicable scholarship support. Make payment using the invoice number as reference. This helps ensure your registration is processed smoothly. You may also send proof of payment to finance@hospivision.org.za if you wish.

4. Once payment is confirmed, all further communication will be sent to the same email address.

Please note:

  • R100 registration fee per session applies
  • Cocktail Dinner & Networking Session is not included in the scholarship and must be paid for separately.
